Master couturier Manav Gangwani debuts his brand new label, “Manav Gangwani India” at India Couture Week 2016. To launch his new label, Manav Gangwani unveils his fresh collection “Begum-e-Jannat”. His inspiration for this collection came from the intricacy of the Mughal era and the Royal Age.
Talking about the collection, Gangwani said, ‘The collection is an combination of emotions that are evoked by the word ‘Jannat’, which means Paradise with every pattern in the collection, being a reflection of a visual piece of paradise to be owned and cherished’.
“Begum-e-Jannat” conveys the Mughal era gracefully with subtle hints of sensuality. Being a royal and rich collection, it includes jewel colour palette displaying stately and luxurious tones of Ivory, Black, Navy, Green and Maroon.
Silk velvet, sheer gauzy tissues, tulle scattered with mirror work were the materials used for his outfits.
The models sashayed down the runway with a background score exclusively curated music by Amaan and Ayaan Ali Bangash.
The Actress Kangana Ranaut walked the ramp for designer as well as her close friend Manav Gangwani. Wearing a maroon choli, embellished with mirror work teamed up with a intensely embroidered lehenga, the actress appeared every inch royal which she is. She finished her look with her signature curls and prefered a minimal make up.
“The collection also aims to change the age-old silhouette of the Angrakha, which literally translates to a body protection. This is a crossover open silhouette that is feminine while keeping its royal attitude.
