The designers chose an unique coloured wedding lehenga with a exclusive motif at the bottom, and matched it with a light gold choli along with a lovely designed dupatta for Yami.

The Vicky Donor actress states she felt amazing flaunting the outfit.

“I just feel beautiful and gorgeous… I love the colours, fit and embroidery, ” Yami said about the showstopper outfit.

Asked the reason why they chose Yami as a showstopper, Rimple told REPORTERS: “In terms of fashion, there is a lot to explore with Yami… She is young and talented. Our collection is a world traveller’s take on clothes that are still rooted for a longing of returning home.

“With Yami, we have a home connect. She is from Chandigarh and we hail from Ludhiana… We have always had a soft corner for her.”

The collection exhibit riot of motifs such as peacocks, floral and monuments. One more interesting factor from the Rimple and Harpreet Narula’s show was the choice of the background tracks. Rather than go for songs, the duo opted Punjabi poetry by Amrita Pritam as recited by Gulzar.

The collection showcased majestic long trailed lehengas, anarkali suits, regal cloaks, spectacular jackets as well as sheer robes.

The colour palette chosen would depict the day transcending from morning, evening and night, that softly moved from ethereal ivory and antique gold to earthy marsala and midnight blue.

The five-day fashion event, which began on Wednesday will end on Sunday with Rohit Bal pulling the curtains on it.
