Asymmetry and angular cuts came lively through bold graphic prints in monochrome stripes and polka dots for Rajesh Pratap Singh’s Spring Summer 2017 collection at AIFW.
Pratap’s line showcased modish jackets, jackets, school-girl skirts, dresses and stylish trousers. With an combinations of lines, polkas, plaids and tartan checks, the fabric brought a brand new take on the classic black and white.
Styling by Nikhil D and make up by Ambika Pillai, added the necessary drama to Singh’s show. Singh gave his models school shoes to amp up the stylish look.
Make-up details of striking stripes across the face combined with the addition of raw silver jewelry created the sensibility of the rural Indian landscape where the truly confident man walks outstanding to none.
Deconstruction provided the talking point here with bomber overcoats and military jackets sitting well with different silhouettes.
Among the matured all-black and white ensembles, proceedings took a more spontaneous route, with plaids and tartan checks lending a unique graphic interest the garments.
At the lately concluded Amazon India Fashion Week spring/summer 2017, the designer merged a collection of men’s and women’s outfits which was influenced by the sartorial sensibilities of rural India. Singh’s collection attracted to all senses
