Urvashi Kaur is truly a global designer, who is known for sourcing locally and making a collection that matches up to worldwide standards. Urvashi encourages organic and natural weaves, and for her Amazon India Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2017 collection “Kul” she resorted to native cottons to weave an elegant story.
Urvashi Kaur‘s collection displayed the variety of print, plaid and several impressive silhouettes. The one thing we adored about her designs is that they are traditional and approachable.
The handlooms dyed in pastel shades of brick red, blues and greys converted on to the ramp quite a amazing summer collection.
Layering occupied prominence. With her fabric drizzled with plaids and prints, Urvashi designed every thing right from skirts, maxis, pant suits, kurtas and even sarees drapes on palazzos.
What set this collection different was the use of layering through several printed fabrics. Sort of pulling off a boho-esque vibe via separates, the fusion of sarees draped over trousers and shirts was edgy and trendy.
Urvashi Kaur’s collection had her trademark simple separates with lots of pleats as well as bohemian silhouettes. Special standouts were the sarees draped on pants.
